ABOUT GABE DEVOE
Gabe DeVoe was a prolific basketball player at Shelby High School in North Carolina where he became a star student athlete and basketball legend. As a senior, he averaged 34 pts per game. He set school records for career points and 3 pointers made, the leading scorer in program history. Honored as the Associated Press, Charlotte Observer Player of the Year and Parade-All American. As a great leader, DeVoe was Class President and graduated with honors.
DeVoe earned a full basketball scholarship and took his talents to Clemson University where he flourished and contributed to the Clemson Basketball program where he earned ACC Player of the week and 3-time ACC Academic- All American. In his final year he led the Tigers to the Sweet 16, he contributed a career- high 31 points. He graduated with honors from Clemson’s business school with a degree in Marketing.
After graduating from Clemson, Gabe worked out for the Los Angeles Lakers in preparation for the 2018 NBA draft. After going unselected in the draft, DeVoe joined the Charlotte Hornets for the 2018 Summer League. In September of 2018 he signed a deal to play professionally in Europe where he continues to grow and flourish.
Off the court, DeVoe is still doing community service projects, speaking to local schools and students. He continues to give back to the community that supported and loved watching him play ball thru establishing his 501 (3) Non-profit organization the Gabe DeVoe Foundation.
